This device serves as the core facility for waste gas treatment in pharmaceutical plant areas, specifically designed for process waste gas with violent concentration fluctuations. The three-chamber regenerative thermal incinerator (RTO) preheats waste gas to 760°C, oxidizes and decomposes it at 800°C, then uses G-L heat exchange for temperature regulation combined with secondary spray washing, deacidification, and demisting to meet emission standards.
System Components
- Flame arrester
- Regenerative chamber
- Thermal oxidation chamber
- Spray tower
- Fan and chimney system
Operating Principle
The RTO consists of insulated chambers filled with high-temperature ceramic media. Polluted air enters through an energy recovery chamber where ceramic media preheats it before introduction to the oxidation chamber. The oxidation reaction occurs in the combustion chamber, converting pollutants into CO₂ and water vapor while releasing thermal energy.
Hot, clean gas exits through the second recovery bed, leaving heat in the ceramic media. In the next cycle, the process reverses direction, utilizing stored heat to preheat incoming air. This alternating flow pattern completes preheating, oxidation, heat storage, and release stages, significantly reducing fuel consumption.
Key Advantages
Zero Energy Consumption Operation
Utilizes self-ignition of exhaust gas to maintain oxidation temperature without natural gas consumption.
High Fluctuation Adaptability
Excess heat regulated by G-L heat exchanger ensures safety of heat storage body and prevents overheating.
Efficient Treatment
Complete oxidation and decomposition of organic components with secondary spraying for acid mist removal and particulate emission compliance.
Structural Stability
Three-chamber heat storage incinerator design optimizes heat balance and handles rapid concentration fluctuations.
