Overview
Our regenerative thermal oxidizer employs advanced heat storage combustion technology (RTO/RHT) to decompose harmful gases through high-temperature oxidation while reducing nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. This system meets stringent environmental standards and serves as an ideal solution for chemical and coating industries. Specifically designed for industrial furnaces operating above 1200°C, the honeycomb ceramic heat storage body efficiently absorbs flue gas heat and transfers it to cold air, ensuring high-temperature stable output for applications in metallurgical heating furnaces, forging furnaces, and similar industrial scenarios.

Product Introduction
This custom-engineered system was developed for the world's largest single maleic anhydride production unit (Huizhou Yuxin). It represents the first global implementation of the "RTO+TO+waste heat cascade utilization" process chain for high-flow, low-concentration VOCs waste gas and organic waste liquid treatment. The system features RTO thermal storage oxidation with exceptional heat recovery rates (≥95%), complemented by TO high-temperature incineration (800-1000°C) for enhanced treatment of difficult-to-degrade components. Combined with ultra-high-pressure steam co-production (9.45MPaG), the system simultaneously achieves waste gas/waste liquid neutralization and energy recovery.

Operating Principle
The RTO system consists of insulated chambers filled with high-temperature ceramic media. During operation, polluted air enters the oxidizer through an energy recovery chamber where ceramic media preheats it before introduction to the oxidation chamber. As air moves through the bed, its temperature rises rapidly. The oxidation reaction occurs in the combustion chamber, converting pollutant-laden air into CO₂ and water vapor while releasing significant thermal energy.
The hot, clean gas exits through the second recovery bed, transferring heat to the ceramic media. In the subsequent cycle, the process stream reverses direction, utilizing stored heat to preheat incoming air. Through periodic switching of inlet, outlet, and purge processes, the flow direction alternates within the oxidizer, completing preheating, oxidation, heat storage, and release stages. This heat storage process enables thermal energy released during oxidation to be reused, substantially reducing fuel consumption for preheating.
To maintain optimal heat recovery efficiency, the process stream direction is regularly switched using automatic diverter valves controlled by the PLC system.
