System Overview
This specialized system is designed for low-concentration VOCs waste gas and organic waste liquid treatment in chemical processes such as maleic anhydride production. It employs a three-stage coordinated process of RTO thermal storage oxidation + TO high-temperature incineration + waste heat recovery to achieve simultaneous waste treatment and energy conversion. Operating Principle
The RTO system consists of insulated chambers filled with high-temperature ceramic media. Polluted air enters through an energy recovery chamber where ceramic media preheats it before introduction to the oxidation chamber. As air moves through the bed, temperature rises rapidly. Oxidation reactions occur in the combustion chamber, converting pollutants into CO₂ and water vapor while releasing significant thermal energy.
Hot, clean gas exits through the second recovery bed, transferring heat to the ceramic media. In the next cycle, the process stream reverses direction, utilizing stored heat to preheat incoming air. Periodic switching of inlet, outlet, and purge processes completes the preheating, oxidation, heat storage, and release stages. This heat storage process enables thermal energy reuse, reducing fuel consumption for preheating.
