Overview
In steel rolling and heat treatment processes, our regenerative furnace achieves uniform temperature distribution through a two-way reversing combustion system, preventing local overburning or insufficient heating of steel billets. With high-temperature heat storage capacity exceeding 1200°C, it significantly reduces iron oxide scale generation and improves steel yield rates. Compared to traditional pusher furnaces, this system saves over 40% energy, making it standard equipment for modern steel plants aiming to reduce energy consumption per ton of steel.

Operating Principle
The RTO system consists of insulated chambers filled with high-temperature ceramic media. Polluted air enters through an energy recovery chamber where ceramic media preheats it before reaching the oxidation chamber. As air moves through the bed, temperature rises rapidly, and oxidation reactions in the combustion chamber convert pollutants into CO₂ and water vapor, releasing significant thermal energy.
Hot, clean gas exits through the second recovery bed, transferring heat to ceramic media. In the next cycle, the process stream reverses direction, utilizing stored heat to preheat incoming air. Periodic switching of inlet, outlet, and purge processes completes preheating, oxidation, heat storage, and release stages, enabling thermal energy reuse and reduced fuel consumption.
Automatic diverter valves controlled by PLC systems maintain optimal heat recovery efficiency through regular flow direction switching.
