This Catalytic Oxidation system was designed by Jiangsu Ruiding Environmental Engineering Co. for Qingdao Siyuan Chemical Co., Ltd. to treat volatile emissions from chemical manufacturing processes and product loading/transportation operations.
The system handles 650 Nm³/h of tank area volatile gas and 350 Nm³/h of loading volatile gas. The unit covers 20×10 meters and includes a three-stage condenser recovery system, reheater, catalytic reactor, and electric heater. The innovative "cryogenic + CO" process ensures compliant emissions while minimizing operational costs.
Project timeline: Mechanical completion on October 30, 2022, commissioning completed November 20, 2022, with official production starting December 2022.
Operating Principle
Gas containing Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) is preheated in a heat exchanger before entering the Catalytic Recuperative Oxidizer. The preheated gas reaches catalyst working temperature (250-305°C), where pollutants undergo exothermic conversion to carbon dioxide and water vapor. Clean hot flue gas then transfers thermal energy to incoming air before atmospheric discharge.
